The highest levels of integrity and competence
Fort Collins City Building - Fort Collins, Colorado
The design solution for this project demonstrates a positive civic image for the City of Fort Collins. The building is steel frame construction with brick and native sandstone exterior skin. The materials and building systems were selected specifically to address overall building performance in regards to life cycle costing, sustainable design, daylighting and flexibility of layout.
The design was built upon the precedent established by the Larimer County Justice Center by providing visual linkage across the street that unifies the city master plan while still maintaining a unique identity.
This 72,000 square foot, three-story building was completed in the spring of 2001. The Neenan Company provided design/build services partnering with OZ Architecture on design services.
“Due to the experience, professionalism and organizational skills of The Neenan Company, the project was completed ahead of schedule as well as within the overall project budget... This was the second time the City used the ‘design/build’... and we are very pleased with the results... Having the designers working with the builders on all phases of the project offers a total spirit of teamwork!”
