Weld County School District Re-3J is a new, 172,000 square foot high school designed for 1,100 students. The Neenan team and school officials created a high-performing school that serves as a model for how sustainable design easily can be integrated into most facilities within budget. Weld County School District Re-3J will save $45,000 in 2006, due to lower energy costs and reduced maintenance needs.
Sustainable attributes designed/constructed in Weld Central High School reduce maintenance/ operations costs and, more importantly, provide an environment for improved student and teacher performance. In addition, the sustainable options will be paid off in less than 10 years.
