City of Fort Collins Police Services
Clad in Colorado red sandstone, the LEED Gold Certified police headquarters building represents a partnership with the community and the needs of the police department. For employee recruitment and retention, the building interior and office provide a very secure and “human” environment. The design-build team focused on creating a building that will serve the community for years to come.
From outside, plains architecture featuring a long low roof line creates a quiet, protective presence. The soft geometry of the covered walkway and open interface of the Community Pavilion provide a clear and welcoming entry to the public. Generous landscaping contributes to the personality of the facility.
Fort Collins Police Services is a fully secured facility featuring:
- Forensic Evidence Processing Lab
- Biohazard Evidence Processing Capabilities & Drying Rooms
- Evidence and Drug Storage Rooms
- 911 Dispatch Center
- Emergency Operations Center
- Microwave Radio Communications
- Weapons Storage
- Employee Fitness Center
- Training Facility
The Neenan Company was the design-builder and teamed with Humpries Poli Architects and Brinkely Sargent Architects for this project.
