• 21st Century rendering technology and design for a 1936 facility

Currently wrapping-up construction, Colorado State University’s Powerhouse Energy Institute is an addition and renovation to a historic 1936 building. Located in Old Town Fort Collins, the architectural rendering (3D) images have been essential throughout the design and construction process to covey design intent to the owner, municipal officials, historic preservation commission, investors, and community at-large.

    • 74,000 SF addition
    • Renovation to historic building
    • LEED Platinum target
    • Neenan is the design-builder

“I have been impressed by Neenan’s willingness to redesign certain systems to meet the university’s goal of providing leadership in sustainable building. It has been fascinating working with Neenan. We have questioned every piece of how we build buildings. Nothing has been left off the table.”
